This Toronto Comic Arts Festival is pretty much the best video I’ve ever seen done on Canadian cartoonists. A simple concept ties the whole thing together, asking each artist to talk about their favourite pencil. What comes out is a nuanced, nostalgic, dedication to the craft of cartooning, created by choice of tool and the idiosyncrasy of the artist’s hand. A tip of the fedora to Christopher Hutsul and everyone who put this together.
